Why I built Trip7

I'm Brandon Seibel. I live in Toronto , and I built Trip7.

The trip that started it

I took my family through Europe: London, then Paris, then Amsterdam, with a stop at Efteling, my kids' favourite part. It was a dense itinerary, with a lot of public transit and a lot of walking.

I spent the trip juggling apps just to know where we needed to be, and when. One of the kids needs water? Stop, find the nearest shop, rebuild the route, and hope we're still on time. A pharmacy on the way to a dinner reservation? The same scramble again. The bookings were all made before we left. Keeping everyone on schedule was the stressful part.

What I built instead

When we got home, I knew I could build something that made this easier. Trip7 reads your booking emails, straight from your inbox or the ones you forward, and turns them into one clean itinerary. Mid-day, it finds what you need without losing your route or your timing. And it gives family back home a link anyone can open, with no app or account.

Not just for the big trips

It started as a fix for one family holiday. It turned out to work for any plan with moving parts. I used it recently for a one-night trip into the city.

Who is behind it

Trip7 is made by Kumino, the company I founded to build consumer apps. Before Kumino, I was Chief Technology Officer at VerticalScope, a publicly traded company. There I led the build of a platform for online communities that served more than 120 million monthly active users across web and mobile.

What we won't do

Your itinerary is yours. Sharing is opt-in and set per trip. When you're not travelling, Trip7 stays quiet: no background location tracking, no hidden data sharing. The detail is in our privacy policy.
